Sara Asif

Coordinator Quest

The dedicated Coordinator and lead instructor of Quest by Al Ilm since its inception in 2008, "Sara Aapa" brings a rich background in both secular and Islamic studies. She is a prominent educator with extensive experience teaching diverse Islamic subjects and a co-founder of impactful community initiatives.

Humera Faisal

Instructor, Tajweed Module

As the Tajweed Module Instructor at Quest since 2015, this individual brings a robust foundation in Islamic studies from Al-Ilm Institute and specialized Tajweed training from a Medina-trained teacher. Continuously supervised by Tajweed instructors, they are deeply committed to Quranic memorization, having completed Surah Al-Baqarah, and previously served as Tajweed group in-charge at the Rihla Program.

Farheen Saqib

Hifz Instructor

Farheen is an accomplished Hifz instructor at Quest since 2017, leveraging her Bachelor's in Computer Science and prior experience as a Systems Analyst and Software Designer. Her expertise extends to being a Certified NLP Master Practitioner, Master Coach, and holding certifications in counseling and comprehensive Islamic studies. She also teaches at Perceptions (Al-Ilm Institute), reflecting her broad dedication to education.

Shahla Haider

Instructor, Tazkiyah Module

With an MBA from IBA where she was a four-time gold medalist, Shahla has a strong background in Islamic studies, having completed certifications from Al-Ilm Institute and an Arabic course. Her extensive professional experience includes serving as the former head of the finance department at Horizon Travels in the USA, lecturing at several universities, and speaking for the Dawah team of AlHuda Institute.

Shanila Dadabhoy

Instructor, 

Shanila Dadabhoy is an Arabic Calligraphy instructor with a background in both commerce and the arts. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and studied for three years at the Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture. She also earned a diploma in Traditional Islamic Art from VMCTA, affiliated with the Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts in the UK, and has completed the Quran Ab Aasaan Grammar Course. Additionally, she continues her studies in Quran Tafseer.
Shanila has been a calligraphy instructor at Quest since 2023. Her experience includes assisting in block printing at Kalga, teaching Biomorph at VMCTA, and conducting Islamic art workshops at Courtyard Studio.

Farah Usman

Instructor, Arabic Grammar

Farah Usman is a dedicated Arabic Grammar instructor with a solid foundation in Islamic studies. Her expertise is further enhanced by extensive training in Arabic grammar from the Madina course books and the QDM method, as well as advanced Tajweed courses. She has been an instructor at Quest since 2024 and has served as a Tajweed mentor there for six years, in addition to her previous experience as a mentor and translator for the Rihla course.

Purnia Hasan

Instructor, Salah Module

Purnia Hasan brings a unique blend of academic and professional experience to her role. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from LUMS/UIC and a Rihla certification from Al-Ilm, and has previously worked as a research analyst on International Security at the University of Chicago. In addition to teaching, she also works as a freelance UX designer.

In this heart-touching Tafseer journey, we’ll walk through the life of Prophet Yusuf (AS)—a story of deep pain, impossible patience, and graceful strength. If you’ve ever felt overlooked, wronged, or lost in your own emotions… this Surah will speak directly to your heart!

Soulful Salah

A transformative module designed to take you beyond the motions of prayer and into the heart of true connection with Allah SWT. Let's explore the deeper meanings, spiritual dimensions, and inner beauty of each part of salah so as to experience it not as a ritual but as an intimate meeting with the Creator.

Ascension

Memorisation of JUZ 30 from Surah An Naba to Surah An NaasThis Hifz Module will enable you to embed Qur’anic verses deep in your heart, transform your Salah, and strengthen your bond with Allah SWT. 

Ascension 2.0

Memorisation and Brief Explanation of Surah Al-Kahf; A Surah that carries immense significance while uncovering timeless wisdom for both Duniya and Akirah.

Inner Voice

A foundational Tajweed course guiding you to recite the Qur’an with clarity, confidence, and heartfelt devotion by mastering correct articulation in the tradition of Hafs an Asim.

The Roots

A certificate module that will enable you to build your Qur’anic vocabulary, converse in spoken Arabic language, focusing on essential grammar with brief explanation from a few verses of Surah Al-Baqarah.

My Nafs & I

A transformative journey of self reflection, spiritual growth, and forming a deeper connection with the self and the Divine by letting go of negativity and finding inner peace.

The Script

An introductory course teaching the fundamentals of beautiful and precise Arabic script Khat e Naskh as well as qalam tarashi (making bamboo pens & metal nibs), preparing calligraphy paper, takhti of Arabic letters and joining alphabets for cursive writing.

The Connection

An online platform dedicated to providing personalized one-on-one support sessions to address daily life challenges and guide you towards effective solutions for your well-being, self-awareness, and personal growth, all in the light of Qur'an & Sunnah.
